The Welfare is a charity that supports local sports & recreation in the form of a football club, bowls club, rugby club, choir and band.
For the past 15 years, the Welfare has relied on external companies to act as the Trading Arm.
This has meant that not all revenue has stayed within the Welfare and local community.
Aylesham Sports Club’s sole aim is to raise funds for the Welfare.
The objectives to achieve this aim will be to attract custom by showing Live Sport, provide Live Entertainement and Events, hire the hall for functions and provide a Club for social intercourse and recreation.
Aylesham Sports Club will be governed by a Management Committee, who will oversee the running of the Club along with employed staff.
There are lots to do and whilst this project is very exciting, I do call for managed expectation at this stage. There are MANY changes required that will take time to implement.
We ask you to bear with us during this transition period as we know there will be teething problems, however, we do ask that you support Aylesham Sports Club by following this page, buying a pint and attending an event in the near future.. as you can all be safe in the knowledge that every penny raised by the Club will be reinvested back into OUR WELFARE.
